Rejuran is a skin rejuvenation treatment that utilizes polynucleotides (PN) derived from salmon DNA to promote skin healing and regeneration. These DNA fragments stimulate collagen production, enhance skin elasticity, and improve overall skin texture.
It is commonly used to address signs of aging, such as fine lines and wrinkles, and to improve skin hydration and tone.Rejuran has gained popularity in South Korea and internationally, often referred to as the “salmon sperm facial,” and has been endorsed by celebrities for its skin-rejuvenating effects.

How it works

REJURAN is a dermal tissue reconstructive material, animal-derived. REJURAN is an injectable gel which is intended for injection into the mid to deep dermis to promote tissue restoration and reconstruction, and
improvement of physical appearance.

Administered by injecting the gel into the dermis using a thin gauge needle. The polynucleotide is hydrating to cause volumetric increases of tissues and make more favourable physiological conditions for the growth of cells in the skin.

REJURAN treatment is not funded on the New Zealand Pharmaceutical Schedule. You will need to pay for this medicine. Normal Doctors visit fees apply. Pre-treatment 

Prior to your treatment you will have a consultation to ensure your suitability for the desired treatment area. At the consultation we will talk through any questions or concerns, and the treatment process will be explained. 

To reduce chances of bruising, we recommend avoiding blood thinning medications such as: aspirin, ibuprofen and fish oils (consult your medical practitioner first) one week prior to your appointment.

To reduce risk of infection and to ensure appointments are kept to time, please try to arrive makeup free. 

Before your appointment please let us know if you…

• You have recently had dental work. 
• You have recently had a Covid, or other, vaccination. 
• Have an auto immune disorder.
• Are on any antibiotics.
• Have a severe metabolic or systemic disorder.
• Are regularly taking anticoagulant medications.
• Have Myasthenia Gravis syndrome or Eaton Lambert syndrome.
• Have any sensitivity to Botulinum Toxin Type A.
• Currently have an active infection at the treatment site.
• Pregnant, breastfeeding or planning on becoming pregnant.

Post-treatment

For 48 hours following your treatment, avoid touching, rubbing and massaging the injected area. Gentle cleansing and your normal skincare routine is fine. Mineral make up may be applied unless instructed otherwise.

Avoid strenuous exercise, heat and saunas for 24 hours.

Some clients experience a mild headache after treatment.

Ice may be held gently over the site if it feels tender, or to minimise bruising. 

Results

Optimal results are noticeable two weeks post treatment. However, most clients will slowly start to notice changes at day four or five post treatment. These results typically last three to four months. If you are wanting to keep your bloom fresh, then we recommend regular appointments which are best booked before you leave the clinic to ensure you have your choice of times.
